Not me (Thank jebus) but I have some people who will be interviewing soon for a full time, non-contract position. Anyone have any advice on how to prepare for an interview? I can't remember what I did so I don't know how to help them.
its been a long time since i did a job interview too.
I just remember being told afterward that I almost didn't get hired because someone overheard me giving myself a pep talk and misinterpreted it as cockiness.
WHAT! is cockiness a reason to not hire someone? I guess you really interviewed well then.
I think i've done some pretty good interviews in my time. one time i was unemployed for quite a while so was doing heaps of job interviews and often would get to the final two and lose out to someone with more experience than me.
But one time halfway through the interview i realised i wasn't knowledgeable enough for the job. It was so out of my skill level and i didn't know what to do. Should i just say i changed my mind? I got very flustered about the whole thing and at the end, the woman on the interview panel was showing me out and told me that i got flustered because the man on the panel was too attractive. I feel like she was projecting her own feelings on to me.
