Twitter Expands Auto Abuse Preventing "Safety Mode" Feature Twitter Expands Auto Abuse Preventing "Safety Mode" Feature February 18, 2022by Martin 6 Twitter has announced that after months of testing, they will be expanding their "Safe Mode" auto-blocking feature to new English-speaking regions to get more feedback. Previously, Twitter's Safe Mode feature was only available to a select number of around 1,000 users. The feature allowed these select users to experience less "unwanted interactions" on the platform by using algorithms that screen your tweets and then help automatically block "spammy or abusive replies." After a limited beta test in which the feature was able to survive criticism and abuse, Twitter is now rolling out the feature on a larger scale, with around 50% of users in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand reportedly using it.
New ones offer this feature. In order to roll out more C Level Executive List users, the social media giant also detailed how guidelines will be added to the safety mode to help users identify and prevent potentially unwanted interactions. Speaking of Beneficial Destruction , Twitter spokeswoman Tatyana Britt explained that "our technology now proactively detects potentially harmful or unread responses and prompts people in the beta to consider turning on safe mode. This update once again burdens people, who deal with unwanted relationships." While Safety Mode will now see wider adoption thanks to this expansion, it's currently unclear when the feature will roll out globally in beta or be fully rolled out to all users.
