I don't know what I am going to do. I'm trying to figure out centerpieces for my wedding and everything I've thought of either won't work or doesn't exist. This is what I have My original thought was to fill it with water, put some fake flowers in the water and then top it with a floating candle. The flowers need to be blue and yellow. Well, I decided that may not work so I thought some decorative marbles/pebbles might be better. Guess what though. They don't come in a nice yellow. I saw online these water beads. They soak up water and look kind of cool. But the issue is I want the candle floating on water and the water beads break apart if they sit in water too long. People online have suggested lemons and blueberries but blueberries aren't the right shade of blue. Someone said lemons with a blue ribbon but... I like the twine around the top. I just don't know what to do and I would like some suggestions that won't cost me an arm and a leg. Buh.

I used round mirrors underneath my centrepieces and put the candles on them to help reflect the light. It could still work maybe with the floating candles and you could put the blue flowers on the mirrors.
What shade of blue are you working with? Let me think about it some more. Working out all this stuff was one of my favourite things in my wedding. But i'm also not very creative. So mine probably looked very tacky

I'm hoping for a blue relatively close to blue hydrangea as those with yellow roses will be a part of the centerpieces. I don't want to use those in these, though, so... yeah lol

what about blue glass beads? would that work? Do you already have the floating candles? are they a particular colour?

Yeah I have the floating candles but at this point we don't have to use them. Blue marbles would be fine but I want to pair them with yellow ones too. And it's the yellow stuff I'm having trouble finding.
A lot of the yellow stuff is either school bus yellow or amber.

Can you combine the lemon idea with the blue marbles?

Maybe. My mom actually had a pretty interesting idea... painting rocks lol. It doesn't seem like it would be too bad and I could make sure the colors were right.

I was also thinking I could use two or three different colors and use them all and get a good variation.
