Hey everyone!
Please go ahead and introduce yourself. Let us know if you're a "new" member or a "returning" one and tell us a little about yourself. Some of us here might have been from the previous version of Stupid-Boy, so don't be too afraid if we're all buddies with each other.

I'll go first!
Hi! My SB name was Angel or Angellove101. I was a part of SB since I was about 16 and was an active member for a long time. I'm 29 years old now, living in DFW Texas and am currently engaged. I like to play games, read, write, draw and crochet

Hi!
I am reclaiming my original handle. I was originally a member since 2002. I remember all the really, really old people from this site. I was 15 when I first joined and am now 30. This site was everything to me growing up, what with the age of the internet just coming into full bloom. Even though so much time has gone by, I very fondly remember so many people who helped me through so much. Happy to be a part of the SB community

I definitely know SB helped me a lot. I made a lot of friends there and I really want to create the environment again. The internet can sometimes suck but SB was awesome.
Hi!
This is so exciting. I was Fruity over at S-B. I don't actually remember when i first joined but i was there for many years.
Congrats on your engagements Angel (or Overproofcorgi, whatever you prefer).
I'm 35, still living in North queensland, Australia. Married. Working a job that's hard to explain that i got transferred into after 4 years in my dream job. But at least i have a job, that's always nice. Not sure if i have anything exciting to report.

I'm definitely 100% fine going with Angel since that's what I've always went by. I'm going to see if I can find a... variation to go with.

Yuppers. When I first became an SB junkie, the concept of forum communities was still pretty new. I look back fondly at it being the beginning of global relationships being formed. What an age we grew up in
I remember talking a lot about how I liked science when I was in high school and on this forum. I now have a PhD in chemistry and am doing research at MIT in the department of chemical engineering. I am a different person than I was when I was on the site....but hardly! lol

I feel lame. All I have is an Associates in English. :-P
All i have is a diploma in Theology.
No way guys! That's all great! Lol nothing to feel lame about at all. What are y'all up to career-wise?
Mav here! (Aka Maverick... which oddly is an SN somebody already took?) I'm not part of the FB group, but I have spies everywhere and I miss yall so why not. I guess I'd be in the running for "most-changed since S-B days"(where I believe I held the record for most callouts). I'm a card-carrying liberal now. I've mellowed out a good bit, and have re-directed my attention whoring for mostly good. Not anti-gay. Not anti-drug. It's sort of amazing what happens when you get out of a provincial little town. After S-B collapsed I got a Masters of Fine Arts in fiction writing from the Uni of Michigan, then became a night-side reporter for a few newspapers while I taught creative writing and argumentative english in the morning at the University of Maryland system. I was engaged to a lady with two kids from a previous marriage for two years, but that fell through pretty dramatically so I've been hopping around the country. Now in Texas, I'm the head copywriter for theCHIVE.com and at night I work out and serve as project coordinator for a citizen's activism group that attempts to hold CEOs of coal companies accountable for various illegal actions. I'm looking forward to catching up with you guys! (Big Mac, that's super fucking impressive. Well done! You were always sharp. And Angel, if I recall, you were an aspiring writer. Just know that plenty of great writers out there didn't even do that.) :flowers:
:flowers: used to be a thing.
Aww Mav I'm glad you're better. Sorry about your engagement. You can change your name to Maverick after you've registered. Click on profile at the top and change it. And I'm sorry about the :flowers: not working lol.
Also you're in Texas too? What part?
Yeah, still am an aspiring writer. I've self published two not so awesome books (please don't read them lol). I'm working on three others. People seem to be interested in the story for them.

Oh I dunno about taking the title of 'Most changed S-B user', there Mav.
You all know me, anyways.

I don't think i've changed at all.
I think my username on the old site was aimeeisqueen. What a douchebag I was. Haha. So, yeah....now it's "aimeerolu." I am an old lady now! I have a 10 year old daughter, which is just crazy. She's super amazing. I got married almost 2 years ago after a super short engagement (it was....3 days, I think). The relationship with my husband lead to a really terrible custody battle with my baby daddy, which I am still dealing with.
I work for a company called ZAGG, but I'm not sure if anyone will know what it is. Our main product is InvisibleShield and it's a line of screen protectors for cell phones, tablets, etc. I'm an account manager there and I manage the international accounts. It's a really good company, so I'm liking it.
I talk to Joe (Personman) and Tony (Like2) on a regular basis. I used to talk to Ghetto Onion all the time, but unfortunately, we're now on opposite schedules.
I think that's it.... That was kind of a lot. Haha. Anyway, this is a good idea. I like it.

It's good to see you again Aimee! I don't think you're old
I can remember when your daughter was born Aimee. I can't believe that was 10 years ago.
Congratulations on your marriage. I'd love to hear more about your 3 day engagement. How did that come about? sorry to hear about the custody battle.

Thanks Mav and glad to see you're doing so well yourself!! Do you remember in like 2003 you pretended to be a girl on yahoo chat who lived in a town close to me and I was SO down to hook up with "you"?! Bahahahahaha!!
Aimee, I remember you! Wow...a 10 year old , though, that's crazy!!
I think the last time I was ever really on S-B was 2004-ish at the earliest. I remember the first incarnation which was run by tanner and techno, and then the remake (which you're all probably most familiar with) run by Barn (was that his name?)

When I joined I think Barn had taken over at that point. Barn was awesome. Then Barn sold and Pickles picked it up and then everything went downhill from there.
Oh is that what happened? I may have checked out by then. You have a great memory
I'm actually very unclear on how S-B ended. Do you or anyone know the details?
I remember one day tanner just stopped running the original SB (the origin of calling it "S-B" with the hyphen stems from Barn, who wanted to differentiate the new site from the old site. Us old schoolers called the original site "SB" #themoreyouknow). Anyway, I had Barn on MSN and he said he was going to start his own version and get the whole crew back. And it worked! For a little while, at least...

I just think Pickles dropped the call and the site ended up going down and not coming back up or something. It's either that or it was just so run down that people stopped dropping by.
Didn't the domain end up getting sold to a gay porn website?
I started in the Barn days and stuck around during the Pickle debacle he didn't really care at all, and i think he tried to monetise the site. Was it he that started the subscription thing to help pay for the site? I remember i signed up for that. But after Pickle there was someone else, because i remember my money kept getting deducted to pickle for a few months after that and the new person paid me back. Although it wasn't really his fault, but he didn't think i should be out of pocket because Pickle was so dodgy. I wish i could remember that person's name because he seemed decent. I think in the end it wasn't viable anymore because it cost too much to upkeep, and it was just let go. I think i was there til the end but the memory is all a bit blurry now.

Yeah I think there were ads or something. He tried to get revenue.
